Born in Italy in 1968, Mirko left at the tender age of 22 and moved to London. In those days his career was split between modelling and hospitality. In 1992 he landed in Brisbane on a new adventure, with only a few words of English in his vocabulary. While pursuing a career in Hospitality, Mirko joined a talent agency and got a taste of the film industry through extra roles and commercials.

The real step into professional acting happened in 2001. Mirko was 33; a late start for many but not for him. Everything that he had learnt through life, poured into his acting. The determination and passion he felt for this new industry made him feel complete. He went full steam ahead, growing and growing every year. The first 5 years were made of short films and unpaid projects, but money was not the issue as following his heart was more important.

Between driving taxies and odd jobs, the priority was always “acting”. Theatre didn’t seem to take off due to his accent but screen performances were moving forward and in 2008 Mirko nailed his first role in the popular Australian series “Sea Patrol”.

2009 though was the real step forward when Michael Apted cast him as the "Telmarine Sailor" in the 3rd Narnia – "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” were Mirko spent 12 weeks on set.
Narnia opened another door for Mirko and his CV kept growing. Nowadays Mirko is represented in Australia, the US and Canada with 2 best actors awards, 1 best actor nomination gained in his portfolio since 2010.
